Ice Cream Social Ride & Walk!

This ride/walk is part of our Social Series, which includes 3 group rides/walks in 2024.
​
Like all our rides, we welcome all ages and abilities. We strongly encourage you to join us, even if you haven't ridden in a while!
Do you prefer walking? If you prefer walking, the walking route is different and shorter than the biking route, but the starting and ending location/time is the same.

We do ask that you register for this event, whether you are walking or riding, because we need need a head count for snacks and ice cream. We also need you to sign a waiver, which you can do online when you register.

Routes
Biking: Start: Taylor Pavilion. End Dividing Creek Beer Co.
Our ride leads will take you on an urban tour of the west side of Winchester, out Amherst, past the MSV and then down to the Green Circle Trail and Abram's Creek Wetlands, before heading back up to down via Valley Ave. The City of Winchester will be providing a mid-ride Italian Ice/Water break at Abram's Creek, as well as an educational component of the area.

Walking: Start: Taylor Pavilion. End Dividing Creek Beer Co.
Expect a 2.5-3.5ish mile social walk past some of the prettiest, historic homes and yards of Winchester, featuring homes on Fairmont & Washington St.

We will be following all traffic rules, and will have volunteers helping along the way to ensure that folks are aware of traffic rules and patterns, and have the ability to cross streets when needed.
​
This is a no drop ride/walk, and there may be group stops to let folks catch up or cross an intersection.
And as always, don't expect to get much exercise, but DO expect to have fun and meet new friends!
