Would you be willing to snap a selfie of yourself wearing a bike helmet? 

 

We'd like to make bulletin boards at local elementary school with photos of local professional athletes wearing bike helmets.

Here's why:

We are supporting a local program to get more kids biking to school. 

Kids biking to school is fantastic for our community. It's great for health, the environment, and community building, but it's also necessary as our local community faces a school bus driver shortage. 

Bike Bus is a program that was started by a local Mom of 2, who saw a need in our community. By shear will and dedication, she started a program that gets kids on bikes and gets them to school safely.

Winchester would love to see this program grow and become an option for every child in our community and main pillar for future school transportation. 

To aid in this goal, BikeWalk Winchester is using our networks to have bikes and gear donated. Folks in the BikeWalk Winchester community have donated over 100 helmets, 20 bikes, and countless gloves, locks, facemasks and other items.

HOWEVER (and this is where YOU come in!) we have one major problem that we need your help with. For some kids, wearing a helmet just isn't cool. And unfortunately, we don't have anyone cool enough in our group to convince them otherwise! (Not enough rizz maybe?) 

Would you be willing to snap a selfie of yourself wearing a bike helmet? No need to make it super professional or take much time on it. We'd also be happy to send you a helmet to wear if you don't have one.

We'd like to make bulletin boards at school with photos of local professional athletes wearing bike helmets. We're happy to sign whatever agreement you might need us to sign about using your likeness, and we can limit any kind of use to just the stated purpose of promoting helmet use locally.

Maybe one day this campaign will grow, but right now our goal is very focused and very small. We just want local kids in Winchester to have the option of biking to school and to be safe while doing it.
